Randfish of SEOmoz has posted an interesting article about how parasite hosting is now dominating spam results.

It is interesting to see how those parasite pages on respected edu sites are ranking high in Google for popular keywords like ‘buy viagra’ or ‘cheap cialis’. It is fairly easy for students to create sub-domains or directories for uploading their personal pages on edu domains. Thus, they can take advantage of the flaw in Google’s search algorithm which ranks any page on trusted domains, not caring to check if the page is relevant to the domain theme.

Matt Cutts’ team has recently diffused the Googlebomb. I hope they will fix this flaw in their algorithm too. All they need to check if the page has high internal link popularity and relevance to the main site.
